Concrete, on the other hand, is a more costly option because it’s customised to each backyard. In theory, if you can think of a design it can be made in concrete. With more reliance on trades, it generally takes longer to install a concrete pool and this is mostly where the extra costs come from.

Design
This doesn’t take much explaining. Fibreglass pools come in set designs from manufacturers whereas concrete pools are designed according to each project.
Essentially, anything that can be produced in fibreglass can be built in concrete but not normally the other way around.

Both concrete and fibreglass are long-lasting hard-wearing materials. On the whole, fibreglass is more resistant to long-term everyday wear than concrete but is more prone to crack or get damaged from soil or ground movement.
