What are long jump covers made from?
Our long jump covers are manufactured from woven polythene unlike many of our competitor’s covers which are made from PVC. The advantage of using woven polythene covers for your long jump pit are many and include:
- High resistance to UV which means that your cover will not fade, crack, or disintegrate in the hot Australian sunshine
- Our covers do not pool rainwater which could cause a potential hazard and make it more difficult to remove
- Since the woven polythene is breathable, it enables the rainwater to wash through the sand, giving it a gentle clean on the way
Superior construction
We use mesh that is manufactured in the USA and unlike many cheaper long jump covers, ours are made stronger by the addition of fully welded seams which run across its entirety. The cover is also given a neat finish with a secure hem and is available in two colours – Ocean Blue or Rainforest Green.
